China's Integrated Ceiling Industry Makes Landmark Overseas Debut at India ACETECH, Youpon Shines

Youpon Integrated Ceiling was invited to participate in the 13th India International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition (ACETECH) in 2012, officially known as the India International Exhibition on Building Decoration Materials and Equipment. As the largest and most prestigious building materials event in India, the exhibition exerts far-reaching influence across South Asia and even the entire Asian region. For years, it has been committed to building a core platform for global building materials enterprises to conduct technological exchanges and trade cooperation. With its rigorous exhibitor qualification review and professional exhibition services, it has become an authoritative and influential benchmark event in the international building materials industry.

Youpon's participation in this exhibition marked a milestone in the development of China's integrated ceiling industry—it was the first time that the industry collectively ventured overseas as a delegation. Organized by the Ceiling Materials Branch of China Building Decoration Materials Association, the delegation integrated high-quality industry resources. As a leading enterprise in the sector, Youpon Integrated Ceiling joined hands with more than a dozen domestic backbone counterparts to form the "China Integrated Ceiling Exhibition Delegation" and made a joint appearance at the Mumbai exhibition.​

Notably, the exhibition coincided with Youpon Integrated Ceiling's significant breakthrough in core technologies: its independently developed polymer composite material preparation technology was successfully commercialized. By optimizing the molecular structure of materials, this technology drastically enhanced the anti-aging, moisture-proof, corrosion-resistant, and load-bearing properties of integrated ceiling products, while achieving lightweight design. It effectively addressed the industry pain points of traditional ceiling materials, such as easy deformation and short service life in tropical and subtropical climates. The "Eco-Polymer Series Integrated Ceilings" developed based on this technology became one of the core highlights of the exhibition. Combining environmental friendliness, practicality, and aesthetic value, the products attracted widespread attention from visitors and peer enterprises as soon as they were unveiled, laying a solid technical foundation for subsequent market recognition.​

The 2012 Mumbai session of the exhibition was officially held at the Mumbai International Exhibition Center from October 18 to 21. Covering a total area of 45,000 square meters, it attracted more than 500 well-known brands from 28 countries and regions around the world, spanning multiple segments including building materials, decoration, and smart home. The audience mainly consisted of professional procurement groups, including large building materials distributors from India and neighboring South Asian countries, engineering procurement departments of real estate development enterprises, construction engineering companies, and professional decoration design firms, accurately covering the core target customer groups of integrated ceiling products. Youpon Integrated Ceiling's original Chinese integrated ceiling products were highly sought after at the exhibition due to their advanced technological processes, functional designs tailored to local market needs, and competitive cost-performance ratio. More than 20 products across three series were enthusiastically subscribed by local Indian distributors, with some popular models even selling out on-site.​

A series of high-level business interactions during the exhibition further confirmed the market competitiveness of Youpon's products: Mr. Rajiv Sharma, Chairman of the ACETECH Organizing Committee (the exhibition organizer), specially stopped at Youpon's booth during his tour. He elaborated on the product's technical characteristics and market layout plans, and took the initiative to discuss regional agency cooperation, clearly expressing his willingness to introduce Youpon's products into India's mainstream building materials market. This move fully reflected the high recognition of original Chinese integrated ceiling products by international industry organizations.​

In addition, to promote in-depth cooperation between Chinese and foreign enterprises, the Ceiling Materials Branch of China Building Decoration Materials Association specially organized participating enterprises including Youpon Integrated Ceiling to hold a special business cooperation forum with the Building Materials Procurement Bureau of India's Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (Central Public Works Department). The meeting conducted in-depth exchanges on key topics such as building materials procurement standards for Indian government infrastructure projects, cooperation models, and supply chain construction. Counselor Peng from the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in India attended the meeting and delivered a speech, highly praising the technological innovation achievements of China's integrated ceiling industry and stating that the embassy would provide necessary support and assistance for Chinese enterprises to explore the Indian market. After the meeting, Counselor Peng also visited the ceiling exhibition area, had cordial exchanges with representatives of participating enterprises including Youpon Integrated Ceiling, encouraged enterprises to seize the opportunity of "going global", and establish the international image of Chinese building materials brands with high-quality products and services, placing high expectations on them.​

The group participation ultimately achieved remarkable results beyond expectations, reaping substantial gains. According to statistics from the exhibition organizing committee and the delegation, during the exhibition, more than 300 building materials enterprises from India and South Asia clearly expressed their intention to act as agents for Chinese integrated ceiling products through on-site consultations and sample testing, among which more than 120 enterprises submitted formal agency applications. Over 200 senior Indian interior designers and architectural designers, after on-site inspections of the products, clearly stated that they would give priority to recommending Chinese integrated ceiling products in subsequent engineering projects. In addition, 3 large Indian building materials chain enterprises reached preliminary cooperation intentions with participating enterprises including Youpon Integrated Ceiling, signing intentional cooperation agreements with a total value of over 5 million RMB.​

The success of this group participation not only built an important channel bridge for Youpon Integrated Ceiling to explore the Indian and South Asian markets and accumulated valuable overseas market operation experience, but also promoted China's integrated ceiling industry to achieve a key leap from "domestic leadership" to "international layout". It provided a replicable practical model for domestic counterparts to enter the overseas building materials market, greatly enhanced the visibility and influence of Chinese integrated ceiling products in the international market, and laid a solid foundation for the global development of the industry.
